§03The problem

What needs to change.

You trained the team on a qualification method and built stage exit criteria, but nobody checks every deal against them. Deals have close dates in the past, deals sit in one stage for months, and next steps say "follow up". AI assistants can now review a deal when a rep asks, but the deals nobody asks about are the ones that slip. So every forecast week still starts with chasing reps and cleaning data by hand.

§04The work

What it does.

  • Scans every open deal on your schedule, not just the ones someone asks about, against your method, stage exit criteria and hygiene rules
  • Finds close dates in the past or pushed again and again, deals stuck past your stage limit, missing next steps, amounts or contact roles, and single-threaded deals
  • Writes a qualification score and a hygiene score onto every opportunity, with the gaps behind them, so you can report and dashboard by rep, team and stage
  • Explains every gap in plain language, pointing to the field, contact role or activity it checked ("Stage is Proposal, but no Economic Buyer contact role and no Decision Process notes")
  • Sends each rep one personal nudge with their own list, in Slack, email or Salesforce, instead of a flood of alerts
  • Proposes fixes in bulk (for example, "move these 14 past-due close dates to the end of next month"), shows every old and new value, and applies them only after a manager approves, with a one-step undo
  • Tracks hygiene trends week over week, so RevOps can see whether the pipeline is getting cleaner

Manager Review Pack

Quoted in writing before you sign

A written weekly pack inside Salesforce for teams that cannot use Salesforce in Claude: what changed, what's at risk and why, the gap to target, and questions for each rep.

What you pay anyone else
Claude seats, billed by Anthropic, only if your sellers use Salesforce in Claude.

§06Targets

Outcomes we target.

OutcomeHow we measure itTypical 90-day target, tracked with you
Fewer past-due dealsOpen deals with a close date in the past ÷ open deals−60%
More complete dealsDeals with next step, amount and at least one contact role+25 points
Better-qualified late-stage pipeline% of late-stage deals meeting all required criteria+20 points
Fewer stage-skipsDeals advanced without meeting exit criteria ÷ stage changes−30%
Less chasingSelf-reported manager and RevOps time on pipeline clean-up−50%

Targets are targets, not measured results or guarantees. Tracked with you during the 30-day support window and under a retainer after that.

§07In practice

Sample exchange.

Illustrative examples, not results from a client engagement.

You:Push Marco's past-due close dates to the end of next month.

Agent:That's 5 deals. Here's the preview with old and new dates, and I'll add a note to each that the date was moved in clean-up. Confirm and I'll update them.

You:How clean is the West team's pipeline this week?

Agent:Hygiene score 71, up from 64 last week. 9 past-due close dates, down from 17. 6 deals in Proposal with no Economic Buyer. Priya has 4 of them. Nudges went to every rep this morning.

You:Close out every deal that hasn't moved in 90 days.

Agent:I won't close deals or change stages. That changes your forecast and win rates. I can send each owner their list and ask them to confirm or close each one.

§08Your environment

Built for your org.

  • We configure Deal Inspector to your method, stages, forecast categories, fiscal calendar, teams and fields, whether your Economic Buyer lives in a contact role, a custom field or a related record. Stage-age limits, required fields per stage, risk rules, scan schedule and who gets nudged where are all set to your process. Each person only sees the deals they can already see in Salesforce.

Installed as a package in your org, source visible to your admin.

Scheduled scans, scores and nudges use no Flex Credits. Chat actions can consume Flex Credits. Agentforce testing, including sandbox tests, can consume requests and credits. We confirm metering against your licences.

if your sellers use Salesforce in Claude, they already have deal reviews, close plans and pipeline summaries on request. We won't sell you those again. What's left is the part that has to happen without anyone asking: every deal checked every week, scores you can dashboard, and approved bulk clean-up. We'll say in the fit report if Pipeline Inspection and the Claude plugin already cover enough for your team.

If your sellers use Salesforce's plugin for Claude, the scores and gaps Deal Inspector writes are on the opportunity. We configure and test the permitted fields a Claude skill reads when a rep asks "what's wrong with this deal?" or a manager prepares a review. Through Claude for Salesforce Teams we tune those Claude skills to the same method, so the agent and the assistant work from the same definitions. Claude for Salesforce Teams →

§13Approval and control

Trust and safety.

  • Never changes stages, forecast categories, probability or owners, and never closes, deletes or reassigns deals
  • Deal fixes are limited to fields you allow (for example close date and next step), previewed old value to new, applied only after a manager confirms, logged and reversible
  • Nudges go to individuals, never public leaderboards
  • Every flag and score comes from your data and shows the facts behind it. The agent doesn't guess or predict
  • Treats text in notes, next steps and emails as information, never as instructions
  • Respects each user's existing Salesforce permissions
